JBlend™ reaches its record high shipment in 3Q 2007

Tokyo, Japan - November 07, 2007-

Aplix Corporation (TSE: 3727) announced today that JBlend™, company's flagship wireless Java™ solution for mobile handsets, reached record high shipment during the third quarter of 2007. JBlend shipped on 37 million handset devices in Q3 2007, a significant 46% growth compared to the previous quarter.

Aplix's increased focus to drive JBlend into global markets while continuing steady focus on its existing markets is reflective of the increase of the shipment volumes. The increase can be attributed to a healthy growth in most of the markets. In Japan, there has been an increase of models, which deploy unified Java platform for FOMA phones by NTT DoCoMo and "Open Appli Player" by KDDI. The North American shipment is showing signs of stabilization with the increased shipment from one of our major customer following a decline. In South Korea, growth has been 1.5 times compared tothe previous quarter, 2 times compared to Q1 2007.

JBlend has been shipped on over 400 million handsets cumulatively, however Aplix expects further increase in shipment of JBlend due to the increased demand of Java enabled mobile devices in the global market, increase of shipment volumes of devices which already deploy JBlend and new customers in both Japan and rest of the global market.

Aplix will keep on promoting JBlend in the future, improving profitability, increasing shareholder value while developing new and attractive products to further strengthen its portfolio.
