JBlend™ Deployed in KDDI's A1405PT
TOKYO, JAPAN - December 14, 2005 -
Aplix Corporation (TSE: 3727) announced today that its JBlend™ Java™ platform has been deployed in KDDI's "A1405PT" by Pantech&Curitel Communications.
The new CDMA 1X handset A1405PT, the first Pantech phone that comes loaded with JBlend to be rolled out to Japanese consumers via Pantech's partnership with KDDI, will be the smallest and lightest mobile phone ever launched in Japan with the required level of advanced, cutting edge functionality and design to appeal to the sophisticated tastes of Japanese consumers. Pantech has the second largest mobile phone shipment in Korea market, and it is the first time that a Korean handset manufacturer has entered the Japanese market.
JBlend enables A1405PT users to enjoy rich games that are pre-installed in the device, and download additional contents/features from the maker site "PANTECH STYLE" in the future.
