Aplix and Superscape Partner to Integrate Java™ and 3D Technology for Mobile Phones
Collaboration Improves User Experience and Time-to-Market for Manufacturers

SAN FRANCISCO and Hook, Hampshire (UK), - May 9, 2005 - Aplix Corporation (TSE: 3727), the global leader in deploying Java™ technology in mobile phones, and Superscape, a leading supplier of 3D technology for Java (JSR 184) and native environments, today announced their partnership for integrating their Java and 3D technology for mobile phones. To reduce the complexity for mobile phone manufacturers, the implementation required between Aplix’s JBlend™ platform and the Superscape’s Swerve Client has been dramatically reduced for Mobile 3D Graphics (JSR 184).
Superscape’s Swerve technology is the world’s first commercially available implementation of JSR 184 (Mobile 3D Graphics API) which enables the delivery of rich 3D media on mobile devices. The Swerve Client provides an elegant and cost-effective means of delivering console quality, high performance 3D applications, including games, on mass-market mobile phones.
